Romania

Romania is a country situated in Central, Eastern, and Southeast Europe, characterized by a diverse landscape and rich cultural heritage. It shares borders with several nations: Ukraine lies to the north and east, Hungary to the west, Serbia to the southwest, Bulgaria to the south, Moldova to the east, and the Black Sea to the southeast. With a total area of 238,397 square kilometers (92,046 square miles), Romania ranks as the twelfth-largest country in Europe and the sixth most populous member state of the European Union, home to approximately 19 million residents.

The country experiences a predominantly continental climate, featuring warm summers and cold winters, which contributes to its varied ecosystems.
