Germany

Germany, officially known as the Federal Republic of Germany, is located in Central Europe. This strategically positioned country is bordered by the Baltic Sea and the North Sea to the north, while the majestic Alps dominate the southern landscape. It encompasses sixteen constituent states, which collectively house a diverse population exceeding 82 million people within an area of 357,596 square kilometers (138,069 square miles). This makes Germany the most populous member state of the European Union.

Geographically, Germany shares its borders with several countries: Denmark lies to the north, while to the east are Poland and the Czech Republic. To the south, Germany is flanked by Austria and Switzerland, and to the west, it is bordered by France, Luxembourg, Belgium, and the Netherlands. The nation’s capital, Berlin, is not only the political heart of Germany but also its most populous city, known for its vibrant culture, rich history and financial hub of the country is Frankfurt.
