Czech Republic

The Czech Republic, also commonly referred to as Czechia, and historically known as Bohemia, is a landlocked nation situated in the heart of Central Europe. Bordered by Austria to the south, Germany to the west, Poland to the northeast, and Slovakia to the southeast, it occupies a strategic position in the region. The Czech Republic boasts a diverse and picturesque landscape characterized by rolling hills, dense forests, and numerous rivers, encompassing an area of 78,871 square kilometers (30,452 square miles). Its climate is primarily temperate continental, with influences of oceanic conditions, resulting in warm summers and cold winters.

Prague, the capital and largest city, is renowned for its stunning architecture, rich history, and cultural landmarks, such as the iconic Charles Bridge and Prague Castle. Other major cities include Brno, known for its vibrant academic scene; Ostrava, an industrial hub; Plzeň, the birthplace of Pilsner beer; and Liberec, recognized for its beautiful mountains and outdoor recreational opportunities.
